Singbulli Tea estate is located in the undulating hills of Mirik valley of Darjeeling at an altitude ranging from 1770 mts. to 2360 mts. spread on 474 hectares of forest land. Planted by British tea planters in 1924, the management of the estate was taken over by Jayshree Tea and Industries in 2003.
The estate is not only credited for producing exceptional organic teas but also has the added benefit of having a nature reserve within its boundaries compromising of over 3000 pine trees. In addition, different types of grasses, leguminous crop, short height shrubs and tall trees are planted in the fallow land all along the boundaries of the sections.
The geographical position of the estate with its superior elevation, ensures the ideal climate for this tea to grow. It is the estates 2nd flush tea that really stand out. With its bold intoxicating aroma, delicate sweet muscatel flavour and beautiful bright orange liquor, it makes an exhilarating cup that is impossible to enjoy just the once in the afternoon.
